About
NanoPattern Technologies, Inc. is a Chicago IL based Materials Science Startup that is commercializing a photopatternable ligand chemistry that enables patterning of nanoparticles with no photoacid generators or resins required. The company was founded in 2019 by Dr. Yu Kambe and Professor Dmitri Talapin from the University of Chicago Department of Chemistry. The two formed the company during their participation in the George Schultz Innovation Fund at the Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship. Currently, the company operates out of the University of Illinois Chicago HTI facilities with support facilities at Argonne National Laboratory. It truly takes a city to raise a startup.
